Traffic Impact Expected During Water Main Check

The City of Deerfield Beach Environmental Services team will be conducting a citywide Water Leak Detection Survey beginning Wednesday, September 26, 2018. As a part of the routine maintenance program of the city’s water main system, workers will inspect the underground water distribution infrastructure and check for leaks throughout the system. This survey is performed to help prevent water loss.

The City’s contractor will begin the project in the neighborhoods east of I-95. The work will take place between the hours of 7 am – 7 pm, Monday – Friday. There is a potential for some of the work to carry into the evening or weekends. Please expect traffic detours as crews work as quickly as possible to wrap up this important project.

Work is expected to be completed before the end of November 2018. We thank residents for their patience and cooperation.

For questions or more information about the Water Leak Detection Survey, please contact the Department of Environmental Services at 954.422.5826 or 954.480.4400.
