Center for Active Aging
The Department of Active Aging provides a structured and comprehensive array of programs and services that improves the independence, community engagement and quality of life of adults, seniors and children of Deerfield Beach and northern Broward County. In 1981 the City of Deerfield Beach and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Broward County partnered to develop the Center for Active Aging (formerly Northeast Focal Point). Over the last 38 years, the Center for Active Aging has expanded and now operates and administers an Alzheimer’s and Multicultural Day Care Center, Center for Active Aging and a Preschool. By combining compassion with unparalleled service, the Center for Active Aging continues to grow while remaining a place “Where Life Happens” for so many in our community.
The Department of Active Aging Department is funded through a combination of federal and state administered grants, fees for services and fundraisers. Additionally, the Center for Active Aging receives financial support from the Aging and Disability Resource Center, N.E. Focal Point CASA*, Inc. (Children’s, Alzheimer’s, Senior and Adult Services), and the City of Deerfield Beach General Fund.
The services that we provide are invaluable to the community and we welcome all donations and encourage you to volunteer with our organization.
