Affordable Housing Advisory Board

Duties/Responsibilities

Review the City's established policies, ordinances, land development regulations and comprehensive plan and recommend specific actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing.

Membership Requirement:

  • One citizen that is actively engaged in the residential home building industry
  • One citizen that is actively engaged in the banking or mortgage banking industry
  • One citizen who is a representative of those areas of labor actively engaged in home building
  • One citizen who is actively engaged as an advocate for low income persons
  • One citizen who is actively engaged as a for profit provider
  • One citizen who is actively engaged as a not-for-profit provider
  • One citizen who is actively engaged as a real estate professional One citizen who actively serves on the local planning agency 
  • One citizen who resides within the jurisdiction of the City of Deerfield Beach
  • One citizen who represents employees within the jurisdiction
  • One citizen who represents essential service personnel as defined in the local housing plan
